If you feel that you need to “hide” a diet, then you probably don’t need to be on one. Talk to your parents about it if you really want to do it and tell them why.

Don’t necessarily go on a diet, but eat a little healthier and eat a little more fiber, and if your going to work out you’ll be fine.

Chances are if you need to hide it, you definitely don’t need to go on a “diet”. Work out if you want, and just eat healthy. If there’s not reason too you don’t want to go on like a Weight Watchers Diet or anything like that, that’s just silly none sense. Just eat well balanced meals.

Everyone is on a diet, weather it be a diet of healthy foods or of pizzas. I think you could all come to a compromise if you tell them that what you really want is to eat healthy foods and not junk food. Tell them you want to lead a healthy life style and learn life long habits that will make you live longer and feel better. Dont just go on a diet to look good when you swim, start eating healthier for you.

Don’t go on a diet, just start eating healthier. (yeah everyone says that, but at a young age you shouldn’t really be dieting) If you must though, just start reducing your daily intake by like 300 calories. That way there isn’t a drastic difference in how much you eat, but over time it adds up, especially 6 weeks. But if you’re gonna work out, then that means you should actually eat a little more…I’m no fitness expert though.

As a parent, I would just like to say that you should not go against your parents wishes.
If you are only 15 and you are competing in a swimming competition then your body will require energy. By going on a diet, you will be depriving yourself of the required nutrients and minerals that you need.
As a person who was quite thin at that age; you need to realise that your body is still growing and that dieting at your age is unnecessary unless you are obese. Stop being led by the comments and images you see in magazines, etc.
If you look at a lot of the Worlds best swimmers, you will see that most of them are quite large and powerful. This is how your body needs to be shaped. You need the muscle to be able to pull yourself through the water.

i don’t care how old some one is you should never ,ever diet without a doctors permission to do so. when you are dieting you need to be mo nitored to make sure that you are getting all the necessary nutrients so that you stay healthy. there are a lot of diets out there that sound good but are actually very dangerous depending on certain health problems you might have. also your doctor may have a diet that meets your needs better. please tell your parents that you want to talk to your doctor about dieting. you may not really need to

What I wonder is,do you need to diet?Is that why your parents are concerned? If you need to lose a couple pounds I don’t understand their problem. They should be proud of you for wanting to get it under control while your still young.Maybe if you word it different.Like you decided to start eating healthy instead of going on a “diet”.Whether you need to lose weight or not there’s nothing wrong with eating healthy.I don’t see why they would have a problem with that.

You’re still growing and that means your ******* as well. If you diet you will need a multivitamin.

I wouldn’t diet. I would do a life style change.
How many fat vegetarians do you see? You could eat all the whole fruits and vegetables you want and not only be healthier but probably drop unwanted pounds. I tried it out of curiosity and lost nearly 10 lbs in an extremely short amount of time. I feel more refreshed on less sleep and eat nearly 6 times a day, so I don’t feel hungry and binge.
Your parents may look at you weirdly because of the life style change, or maybe (hopefully) they will support you. I say try it for awhile and play around with different recipes.
FAST FOOD IS NEVER HEALTHY!!! FOR ANYONE!!!
P.S. I do not support P.E.T.A. or any other radical groups.
