What is a good diet for someone without a gall bladder who is trying to lose weight?

I eat healthy, exercise but it seems that whatever I try don 't seem to be losing weight. Continu Aare people tell me that eating a diet low in fat percentage, but the doctor told me that eating low-fat percentage is what killed my bladder discolouration. He said that everything in moderation. However it appears that if I eat too much protein I get sick if they eat low-fat percentage gets sick. I am so confused to what it is not just on the edge of giving up. I try to balance it out but I don 't seem to lose a pound. Can someone help? I need realistic. I have a very understanding family, but I don 't want it to suffer with the special diet. Can I prepare two meals for lunch if necessary but would be easier to prepare just one. Suggestions? I'm also looking for something long term. More as a change in life as apposed to a diet.
